Practice and Professional Experience

Haley G. Schopp graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2017 with a B.A. in Spanish and Government. During her time at F&M, Haley worked as a Case Intern and Tutor assisting unaccompanied refugee minors with language skills, school work, and adjusting to American life. Upon graduating from college, Haley joined McCormick, Murtagh & Marcus as a paralegal. During Haley’s years as a paralegal, she enjoyed navigating the complexities of real estate transactions, zoning and permitting, estate planning, and corporate work under the tutelage of Kathleen M. McCormick. Haley particularly relished working directly with the firm’s clients. Invigorated by her experience as a paralegal, Haley pursued a legal education at Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she was in the top ten percent of her class and earned the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award in Legal Skills. Haley then transferred to The George Washington University Law School to continue her legal studies in Washington, DC. GW Law twice named Haley a Thurgood Marshall Scholar and, due to her academic success, GW Law hired Haley to tutor fellow law students in numerous subject areas, including Trusts & Estates, Property, Corporations, and Evidence. Haley graduated from GW Law in 2023 and is excited to be back at McCormick, Murtagh & Marcus on a full-time basis. Haley, a Canaan, Connecticut native, is very familiar with the Berkshires and Litchfield County and is looking forward to beginning her career as an attorney in the region she has called “home” for many years.
